Dress Code

Students, staff, parents and visitors should dress in a way that shows respect for themselves and others. Clothing should be suitable for school, while respecting individuality. Dress should allow comfort without being revealing or disturbing.

  • Dress appropriately for the weather
  • No wearing of hats or hoods indoors
  • Wear footwear at all times
  • No references to alcohol, tobacco, drugs, sex, hatred or other offensive words/pictures on bags, clothing, hats, etc. (This is a Bluewater District rule.)
  • Shorts, skirts should be at finger tip length or longer when arms are down at sides
  • Underwear should not be visible, no bra straps
  • No bare midriff, no gaping armholes, no revealing necklines
  • Proper gym shirt, shorts or athletic pants, (no pajama pants), non-marking running shoes for gym classes

Where a student is found to be wearing inappropriate clothing, he/she may be asked to make appropriate adjustments (i.e. put on a sweater, turn a T-shirt inside out, etc.)
